Introduction of Exhibition
“The Future of Food – A New Trend in Design” is the first exhibition area of “The Future of Life” of the 2018 Design·China Academy of Fine Arts. The exhibition is divided into two parts: “Edible Materials” and “Eating Culture Reconstruction”, which vividly demonstrates the domestic and international development trends of the emerging discipline of “food design” and the significance of the times it carries. The exhibition presents the exploration of food design by the students of the School of Design and Art of the China Academy of Art. It conducts joint exhibitions with foreign laboratory cases such as the MIT Media Lab in the United States, and meanwhile, it invites a number of institutions and well-known figures such as MarijeVogelzang (Netherlands), Yuan Yuan (France), Tu Yunwen (USA) and other world food design industry representatives and teams, two non-profit organizations (Food Talk and the US Stanford Food Innovation Agency FoodInno) to participate this exhibition, which is to present our thoughts on food and design, humanity and the future in terms of future survival.
